16,000 New Teaching Positions to Enhance Public Schools
The government is set to create 16,000 new teaching positions for the School Year 2025-2026. Communications officials shared that the Department of Budget and Management recently approved these new teaching slots ahead of the school year starting on June 16. The Department of Education will receive P4.19 billion from the 2025 General Appropriations Act, funding the hiring of these new educators. This represents a considerable increase compared to the previous annual average of 10,000 teaching positions.
