Buy-Bust Operation Leads to Major Drug Seizure
Authorities seized a total of 30 kilograms of shabu worth P204 million during a buy-bust operation at a resort and events hotel in Norzagaray, Bulacan. This significant drug bust has dealt a serious blow to illegal narcotics trade in the area.
Three suspects were arrested during the operation, identified only as Jessie, Kristina, and JB, aged 44, 36, and 21 respectively. They were caught after selling two kilograms of shabu, valued at P13.6 million, to a poseur-buyer.
Additional Shabu Found After Arrests
Upon further inspection of the suspects’ possessions, authorities discovered an additional 28 kilograms of shabu worth P190.4 million. The seizure also included the buy-bust money, a vehicle, a mobile phone, and several identification cards.
Legal Action and Ongoing Efforts Against Drug Syndicates
The arrested individuals now face charges related to the sale and possession of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This buy-bust operation is part of a larger campaign to dismantle drug trafficking networks.
“One operation leads to another. We connected the dots by piecing together information and evidence from our previous operations that ultimately led to the arrest of the suspects who happened to be top-level shabu traffickers,” said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency director general.
He added, “We will use all extracted information to our advantage and continue to operate against drug trafficking syndicates and their underlings. This is in response to the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to shut down illegal drug activities and dismantle the drug networks.”
These efforts underscore the government’s commitment to intensify its fight against illegal drugs and protect communities from the harmful effects of narcotics.
