1 suspect dead, 4 PDEA agents hurt in Parañaque buy-bust


One suspect was killed while three others were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Antonio, Paranaque City, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Thursday.

In a statement, the PDEA identified the 32-year-old slain suspect as “Sady” while his nabbed cohorts are “Lala,” 26; “Allan,” 34; and “Binny,” 23.

Four PDEA agents were wounded during the operation on Wednesday afternoon. The agency said they are undergoing medical treatment.

Authorities seized four plastic bags with a total of 4.2 kilograms of suspected shabu worth approximately P28.56 million. 

Also recovered were a vehicle, cellular phones, an undisclosed amount of buy-bust money, identification cards, drug paraphernalia, a firearm,  ammunition, and several documents.

The suspects are facing charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the PDEA said. —Joviland Rita/RF, GMA Integrated News
