A security guard’s bag containing a firearm was stolen allegedly by two men who broke into the garage of an establishment in Quezon City on Tuesday.
According to Emil Sumangil’s report in “24 Oras” on Thursday, the suspects got into the establishment in Barangay Bahay-Toro, Quezon City at 3:30 a.m. of April 15.
The complainant said the security guard was sleeping when the incident happened.
The complainant said, “3:30 ng madaling araw, bumalik. Doon na, doon na nangyari ‘yung pumasok na sila doon sa loob. Then ‘yung isa naging lookout doon sa labas tapos paglabas nung isa, dala na ‘yung bag ng security.”
(It happened at 3:30 a.m. That’s when it happenedm when they entered. Then one of them was the lookout outside, then when the other one went out he was already bringing the bag of the security guard.)
But the complainant said the suspects could have sprayed something on the security guard as the CCTV footage showed that the suspects were just in front of the victim.
“Ang tagal niyang kaharap ‘yung gwardiya namin na tulog. Baka kasi may pinang-spray doon sa mukha ng gwardiya natin tapos baka kaya napahimbing ‘yung tulog,” he said.
(He was in front of our guard for a long time. Something could have been sprayed on the face of our guard that could have caused him to fall in a deep sleep.)
The incident was reported to the Quezon City Police District and a follow-up operation is conducted by the police to locate the suspects.
The complainant said the suspects can be identified based on the CCTV footage. He added that he is worried that they could use the gun to commit crimes.
“Ang kinakatakot ko lang sir is ‘yung baril baka magamit pa sa kawalangyaan, tapos pang-holdap, walang hiyang, alam mo naman mga tao ngayon,” he said.
(I’m worried that the gun could be used for something illegal like for holdup. You never know because many people could do that now.) — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
