Prayer for Marginalized Filipinos
Just days before the election, the Ahon Mahirap Partylist called on God’s guidance to uplift the lives of the poor and marginalized. They crafted a heartfelt prayer asking for strength and representation for those often left unheard.
Hope for True Representation
In their prayer, the group asked for blessings on their candidates: Wilbert Tolentino, Mayor Atty Ike Ponce, and Paolo Martelino. They hoped these leaders would inspire hope and confidence among voters. They prayed that their message would reach the hearts of many and that they would be recognized as genuine advocates for the people.
Faith and Perseverance
The partylist also invoked St. Jude, patron saint of hopeless causes, quoting his words: “But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and persevere.” This reminded them to stay steadfast in their mission and trust in God’s greater plan.
Community and Wisdom
They asked for blessings on their outreach programs to strengthen community ties. Additionally, they sought wisdom to address the nation’s urgent needs. Their prayer expressed hope that their efforts would translate into votes, leading to a brighter future for all Filipinos.
Trust in Divine Support
The prayer ended with a firm trust in God. They believe that with faith and perseverance, all things are possible. This faith fuels their commitment to serve the marginalized and fight for their rightful place in government.
