Angeles City Drug Bust Seizes Illegal Substances
Authorities in Angeles City have arrested a suspected drug dealer during a buy-bust operation that uncovered illegal drugs and marijuana vapes valued at over P160,000. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) led the operation, targeting the suspect based on timely intelligence.
The NBI Pampanga District Office identified the suspect as 24-year-old Carl Puerto Orcine. On June 14, operatives apprehended him at a bar located in Barangay Lourdes West. The keyphrase “Angeles City drug bust” fits naturally here as the operation unfolded.
Details of the Seized Illegal Drugs
The NBI reported that they confiscated 85 grams of Kush, a dried marijuana flower, estimated at P102,000. Additionally, 21 marijuana vape cartridges worth around P60,000 were recovered from Orcine. These items were found inside his vehicle, parked near the bar where he was arrested.
Legal Charges and Investigation
Orcine now faces charges for the sale of dangerous drugs under Section 5 of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022. The NBI’s buy-bust was prompted by reports that the suspect was distributing illegal substances to partygoers and customers at the bar.
According to sources, the operation was carefully planned and executed after gathering sufficient evidence. The suspect’s arrest and the seized contraband highlight ongoing efforts to curb illegal drug trade in Pampanga.
