Antipolo City Opens Two New Animal Bite Treatment Centers
The Antipolo City government has responded to the rising number of animal bite cases by opening two new Animal Bite Treatment Centers. These centers are conveniently located in popular shopping malls to provide easier access for residents in need of rabies vaccinations.
City Mayor Casimiro “Jun” Ynares, III announced that the additional Animal Bite Treatment Centers (ABTC) are now available at iMall Antipolo and SM Center Antipolo Downtown. These new facilities aim to offer timely treatment to prevent rabies infections among bite victims.
Accessible Locations for Animal Bite Treatment Centers
At iMall Antipolo on M.L. Quezon Street in Barangay San Roque, the ABTC operates on the mall’s second floor. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, making it convenient for residents to seek immediate care.
Meanwhile, the second ABTC can be found on the third floor of SM Center Antipolo Downtown along Marcos Highway. It maintains the same operating hours as the iMall facility, providing more options for those bitten by animals.
Aside from these two centers, the city maintains an existing Animal Bite Treatment Center at the Antipolo City Health Office (ACHO) on M. Santos Street, just a few steps away from the city hall. This ensures that residents have multiple accessible points for treatment.
The local leaders noted that the establishment of these additional centers reflects the city’s commitment to public health and safety. With the increase in animal bite incidents, these ABTCs will help reduce the risk of rabies and provide faster medical assistance.
