CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – With just days left before the May 12 elections, Nueva Ecija police have boosted their ranks with fresh military reinforcements. This move aims to tighten security measures and keep the province’s elections safe and orderly.
In a solemn send-off ceremony at the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, Lt. Col. Ryan Joseph Cayton, commander of the Philippine Army’s 70th Infantry Battalion, handed over seven squads totaling 66 soldiers to Col. Ferdinand Germino, the province’s police director. These soldiers will now serve as a crucial backup force to the police.
The added military presence will enable quick responses to any election-related incidents, helping maintain peace from the campaign period through election day.
“We have finished our preparations and are now moving into the crucial execution phase,” Germino declared. “This final stretch is critical. We must give everything to ensure a peaceful and credible election.”
He also issued a stern reminder to all officers—military and police alike—to stay neutral and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. The integrity of the election must be protected at all costs.
This deployment reflects the intensified security efforts nationwide. Authorities remain vigilant, ready to prevent any disruptions that could undermine the democratic process.
