Authorities Hunt Two Riding-in-Tandem Suspects After Rizal Shooting
Authorities are actively searching for two riding-in-tandem suspects involved in a fatal shooting in Teresa, Rizal. The attack left a female tricycle passenger dead and two others injured. The victims had just left the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Teresa when the suspects opened fire.
Responders arrived at the scene along Pantay Road in Barangay Bagumbayan on the afternoon of June 7. They found the female victim, still unidentified, already deceased. The tricycle driver and another female passenger suffered injuries, with the latter struck in the jaw.
Eyewitnesses Describe Pursuit Before Shooting
Local barangay personnel reported that witnesses saw the suspects, two men on a motorcycle, trailing the victims from the BJMP-Teresa compound. The suspects were reportedly accompanied by two cars as they followed the tricycle to the crime scene.
Authorities have launched backtracking operations to apprehend the suspects, who face charges including murder and two counts of frustrated murder. Investigators continue to probe the motive behind the attack.
