Massive Shabu Seizure in Bataan and Bohol
Authorities recently seized a combined total of P8.87 million worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Bataan and Bohol. The successful operations led to the arrest of two high-value suspects, officials reported.
The Police Regional Office Central Luzon (PRO 3) disclosed that a kilo of suspected shabu, valued at approximately P6.8 million, was confiscated in Barangay Bagong Silang, Balanga City, Bataan. This operation took place early Thursday morning.
High-Value Suspect Apprehended in Bataan
During the Bataan operation, police arrested a high-value suspect. However, authorities did not release the identity of the individual, citing ongoing investigations. Local leaders noted that the suspect is now under the custody of the Balanga City police, pending charges.
Shabu Worth P2.07 Million Seized in Bohol
In a separate incident, the Police Regional Office Central Visayas (PRO 7) reported the seizure of 305 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P2.07 million. The buy-bust operation occurred in Barangay Song-on, Loon, Bohol, on Wednesday.
Officials confirmed the arrest of a suspect identified only as “Jordan.” Community members said the suspect is currently detained at the local police station, awaiting formal charges.
Charges Filed Under Dangerous Drugs Act
Both suspects are facing charges related to violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Dangerous Drugs Act. Law enforcement units are coordinating to ensure the proper filing of charges and further investigation.
