Patidongan Brothers File Complaint Against Former CIDG Chief

The Patidongan brothers have filed an administrative complaint against former Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Chief Police Brigadier General Romeo Macapaz before the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) in Quezon City. E-sabong whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan and his brother Elakim accused Macapaz of misconduct, dishonesty, and conduct unbecoming of a police officer. The complaint relates to the mysterious disappearance of 34 cockfighting enthusiasts between 2021 and 2022.

Leila de Lima Calls for DOJ Probe into Prosecutors

Mamamayang Liberal (ML) party-list Representative Leila de Lima has formally requested the Department of Justice to investigate government prosecutors who handled her drug-related cases. She accused them of “grave misconduct and gross ignorance of the law” in a complaint submitted to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla. De Lima highlighted the “abuse and injustice” she endured over seven years, alleging the cases were politically motivated and fabricated.
