Binibining Pilipinas Candidates Face Tough Crown for Love Questions

Binibining Pilipinas Candidates Tackle Tough Crown for Love Questions

As the 2025 Binibining Pilipinas grand coronation night draws near, excitement buzzes among the candidates. Recently, they joined an engaging Q&A session with entertainment press at Ibis Styles Manila in Araneta City. The lively discussions spanned various themes, including advocacy, activism, dating, politics, history, and the challenges of relationships.

The unique format had media members draw names from a bowl to ask candidates spontaneous questions on diverse topics. This setup tested the contestants’ wit and values under pressure, showcasing their personalities beyond the usual pageant glamour.

Priceless Crown vs. Love: Francesca’s Firm Stand

Among the thought-provoking questions, Francesca Beatriz Alvalajon, 22, from Aklan, faced a challenging hypothetical: “Supposing one week after you won the pageant title, your millionaire boyfriend of five years asked you to give up your crown and marry him. What will you do?”

Francesca responded with heartfelt conviction: “The Binibining Pilipinas crown is priceless, and no P5 million could ever buy that. With the crown, I can fulfill my purpose and achieve my dreams. Love is everywhere. It comes from these girls (Binibini candidates), my family, and friends. With that, I could live every day.”

Her answer reflects a deep appreciation for the crown’s significance, emphasizing that love and support come from many sources, not just romantic relationships.

Choosing Wealth to Help Others: Jenesse’s Compassionate Choice

Meanwhile, Jenesse Viktoria Mejia, 24, from Pangasinan, was asked to pick among being super attractive, intelligent, or wealthy. She chose wealth, explaining her reasoning with empathy: “I would choose to be wealthy because there are so many people that I want to help. I’ve seen the faces of poor children, and I grew up with them. I’ve been involved in the youth ministry for a long time. I can see sadness in their eyes, especially when they go hungry. They say money can cause power. However, the truth is that it helps more people. The only way for me to give more is to have more wealth, so that I can pay it forward and help others.”

Her response highlights a strong sense of social responsibility and a desire to uplift others through financial means.

Event Highlights and Upcoming Coronation

This vibrant event was held in partnership with a key sponsor of the Binibining Pilipinas 2025 pageant. Representatives from the sponsor’s leadership team attended, showing support for the candidates and the event.

The grand coronation night is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. Thirty-six hopefuls will compete for the coveted titles. Winners will proudly represent the Philippines in international pageants like Miss International and Miss Globe.
