Bulacan Engineer Found Guilty in Multiple Administrative Cases
Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has declared former Bulacan First District engineer Henry Alcantara guilty of several administrative offenses. The verdict stems from Alcantaras alleged role in irregular infrastructure projects within Bulacan.
The key administrative cases against Alcantara include charges of disloyalty to the Republic of the Philippines and the Filipino people, grave misconduct, gross neglect of duty, and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service. These charges fall under Sections 63 (A)(1)(d), (f), (h), and A(2)(a), Rule 10 of the 2025 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service, officials reported.
Inflation Rises to 1.5 Percent in August
Inflation accelerated to 1.5 percent in August, up from 0.9 percent in July, driven primarily by increased food prices, especially vegetables. Community members noted that the spike followed heavy monsoon rains that affected supply chains.
