Bulacan Police Arrest Two Carnappers in Quezon City
Members of the Bulacan police successfully arrested two carnappers and recovered a stolen motorcycle in Quezon City on Tuesday, June 10. The swift action came after a robbery hold-up and carnapping incident on June 9 along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Iba O Este, Calumpit. This marked a quick response by local authorities to a crime that alarmed residents.
The Bulacan police shared that around 1:32 a.m., one of the suspects threatened the victim with a firearm and forcibly took his Yamaha Aerox 155 motorcycle along with his cellphone. Thanks to the victim’s cellphone GPS tracker and CCTV footage, police were able to trace the suspects’ location.
Coordinated Police Efforts Lead to Arrests
Following the initial crime report, the Calumpit police station worked closely with the Quezon City Police District Station 2. Their teamwork led to the arrest of two suspects in Barangay Paltok, Quezon City. Along with the stolen Yamaha Aerox 155, police also recovered another white Yamaha Aerox motorcycle suspected to have been stolen.
The suspects are now in custody at the Calumpit police station. Authorities are preparing charges for violation of RA 10883, known as the New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016, as well as robbery hold-up. Local officials praised the police for their prompt and coordinated response that brought quick justice to the incident.
Col. Estoro commended the Calumpit police for their efficiency, saying their efforts ensured the immediate arrest of the suspects and recovery of the stolen motorcycle. This case highlights the importance of cooperation between police units and the use of technology in solving crimes.
