Bureau of Corrections Mass Promotion Boosts Morale
Eighty-seven uniformed personnel of the Bureau of Corrections have recently received promotions to inspire greater dedication and set high service standards within the agency. This mass promotion includes 33 commissioned officers and 54 non-commissioned personnel, aiming to strengthen leadership across the bureau.
In addition, seven non-uniformed staff were also elevated to higher ranks, reflecting a broad effort to recognize commitment and capability. Although the names of those promoted remain confidential, local leaders noted the significance of this move.
Leadership and Operational Excellence
BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr. emphasized that these new leaders will guide their teams while embodying the bureau’s core values: integrity, professionalism, and responsibility. “These promotions are not just about rank but about inspiring others to uphold these values,” he said.
He further explained that the mass promotion is a strategic step to improve the bureau’s operational efficiency. It ensures that the organization is better prepared to face the evolving challenges in the field of corrections. This proactive approach highlights the importance of strong leadership in maintaining order and discipline.
Cultivating Integrity and Excellence
The promotions also reflect a vision to foster a culture of excellence and integrity within the Bureau of Corrections. Catapang stated, “These qualities are vital not only for operational success but also for boosting the overall morale of our personnel.”
By recognizing the efforts of both uniformed and non-uniformed staff, the bureau aims to motivate employees at all levels. This initiative is expected to encourage teamwork, accountability, and a shared commitment to the bureau’s mission.
