According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Crising intensified into a severe tropical storm as it left the Philippine area of responsibility. It was last tracked 235 kilometers west of Itbayat, Batanes, moving west-northwest at 15 kilometers per hour.
The storm brought winds up to 100 kph with gusts reaching 125 kph, prompting authorities to prioritize safety by suspending flights.
