The Police Regional Office-3 (PRO-3) has successfully arrested 3,674 suspects, including 783 most wanted persons, in Central Luzon from January 10 to June 8. Under the leadership of Police Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the PRO-3 intensified its campaign to capture criminals in the region, demonstrating the power of coordinated law enforcement efforts.
Brig. Gen. Fajardo reported that out of the 783 most wanted persons, those arrested were categorized as city and municipal MWPs, while the remaining 2,891 suspects were listed under other wanted persons. This significant number reflects the ongoing commitment of the police to maintain order and security in the area.
Breaking Down the Arrests
Among the apprehended most wanted persons, 35 face murder charges, 155 are accused of rape, 24 were arrested for robbery, 124 are linked to illegal drug activities, and 445 are wanted for various other offenses. These figures underscore the seriousness of crimes tackled by PRO-3 and the effectiveness of their intensified campaign.
Relentless Efforts for Justice and Security
Fajardo emphasized that these arrests send a strong message: accountability cannot be avoided. “Hindi namin hahayaang makatakas sa kamay ng batas ang mga pinaghahanap na kriminal. Ang pagkakaaresto sa mga ito, lalo na sa mga sangkot sa mabibigat na krimen, ay nagpapadala ng malinaw na mensahe — na ang pananagutan ay hindi maiiwasan. Mananatili kaming tapat sa aming tungkulin na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng bawat mamamayan,” she said.
These efforts align closely with the administration’s Bagong Pilipinas goals to strengthen peace and justice. The series of arrests not only showcases the dedication of PRO-3 personnel but also highlights the importance of thorough intelligence gathering, swift coordination, and decisive action during operations.
Fajardo praised the hard work and commitment of her team, noting that their success is a direct result of teamwork and vigilance. The police will continue to pursue criminals relentlessly to ensure the safety of all citizens in Central Luzon.
