CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — With the May 12 midterm elections fast approaching, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 in Central Luzon has ramped up security measures to ensure a peaceful and fair voting process.
Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, PRO-3 Director, vows the police force’s unwavering commitment to safeguard the elections from any disruptions. “We are working hand-in-hand with the Commission on Elections, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and other government agencies to secure the safety of every voter. Peace during elections means peace for all Filipinos,” she stressed.
From May 4 to 15, PRO-3 is on full alert. Additional officers have been deployed to hotspots and polling centers across Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Pampanga. Quick Reaction Forces and standby units stand ready to act at a moment’s notice if violence or disturbances arise.
Behind the scenes, operations centers and intelligence teams are on 24/7 watch, scanning for any signs of trouble. Fajardo urges the public to stay vigilant, avoid spreading false information, and report any suspicious activities immediately.
“Elections are not just for the government to manage. Every Filipino has a role to play in protecting our democracy. Let’s unite and keep the vote safe,” she said.
Local police stations nationwide are also alert, ready to respond to voters’ concerns and enforce election laws throughout the entire period. The call is clear: stay informed, stay safe, and safeguard our freedom to choose.
