PRO 7 Declares Full Election Readiness
With only two days left before the National and Local Elections, the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO 7) proudly announces it is 100 percent prepared.
Dahil dito, the regional police aligned with the national directive from the Philippine National Police chief to ensure full readiness across the country. This move strengthens the commitment to a secure and peaceful election process.
Security Measures and Coordination in Place
During this week’s command conference, PRO 7 confirmed that all key security plans are finalized. Coordination protocols, deployment schedules, and contingency strategies have been set to address any situation.
Bukod pa rito, the police are closely working with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and other government agencies. Their goal is to maintain order and safety in all voting areas throughout Central Visayas during the entire election period.
Assurance of Safety and Voter Protection
Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan assured the public that all police units are on full alert. They are ready to secure polling precincts, protect election materials, and respond swiftly to any threats.
“We are 100 percent ready,” Maranan said. “Our commitment is clear: we will protect every voter and uphold the credibility of the elections.”
Deployment and Support for Voters
To ensure tight security, a significant number of uniformed personnel will be deployed to polling centers, transport hubs, and areas prone to election-related concerns.
Samantala, police assistance desks will be established in every school. These desks will help voters facing problems and quickly address any incidents that arise.
Media Action Center and Full Alert Status
On May 7, PRO 7 activated its Media Action Center. This center will verify and share updates from the Regional Monitoring Action Center (Remac). The aim is to promote transparency, fight disinformation, and respond promptly to media and public inquiries.
All police personnel remain on full alert and are barred from taking leave or being absent until after the May 12 elections conclude. This ensures continuous vigilance and security throughout the election period.
