Check Traffic Violations Under NCAP Quickly Online

Access Traffic Violations Under NCAP With Ease

Want to quickly check if you have traffic violations under NCAP? Motorists can now do this effortlessly as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) launched a new website on June 16. This platform gives vehicle owners instant access to information on traffic violations captured by AI-powered CCTV cameras operating under the No-Contact Apprehension Policy.

Called “May Huli Ka 2.0,” this web-based tool allows users to conveniently verify traffic violations and understand the payment steps involved. MMDA chairperson Don Artes explained that the use of artificial intelligence in NCAP enforcement is a significant move to encourage discipline among drivers while supporting the government’s shift to digital services.

Secure and User-Friendly Platform Features

Artes emphasized that the platform prioritizes data privacy. Vehicle owners can check violations by entering their license plate, conduction sticker number, or motor vehicle (MV) file number. The MV file number is a security measure known only to the owner, preventing unauthorized access through the website.

“Before, vehicle owners verify their violations by simply entering their plate numbers on the former website. This system raised data privacy concerns, prompting the need for a more secure and authenticated access,” Artes said.

The website also guides users on what to do if violations are found, how to pay fines, where to settle them, and how to file appeals or contest citations.

Upcoming Enhancements to NCAP Service

During the launch briefing, Artes revealed plans to improve NCAP further. Soon, users will receive real-time notifications via SMS and email whenever new violations are recorded. The system will also support multiple vehicle registrations under a single account, ideal for fleet owners.

The MMDA aims to introduce online contesting of violations, hearing schedules, and integrated online payment options. “The MMDA will also launch a real-time notification system that includes SMS and email alerts, along with online access to violation details,” Artes added.

Expanding AI-Driven Surveillance Across Metro Manila

NCAP began on May 26 after the Supreme Court lifted a temporary restraining order related to its legal challenges. In its first week, over 5,400 motorists were tagged for violations.

Most AI-operated CCTVs are currently installed along EDSA. However, Artes announced plans to install around 1,000 more cameras across key Metro Manila roads. Until then, MMDA enforcers will help complement the surveillance efforts.
