Chinese Man Caught Attempting Cell Phone Theft Inside Spa
Authorities from the Parañaque City Police Tambo Substation arrested a Chinese man for allegedly attempting to steal a cellular phone inside a spa salon on June 7. The Southern Police District confirmed that the suspect, identified as Su, 25, was caught around 8:40 a.m. inside Emgrand SPA on Brandco Avenue, Barangay Tambo.
The incident unfolded while the victim, known only as “Mary,” 26, was having breakfast with her cousin. According to local reports, Su approached their table and quickly took Mary’s cellular phone, which was left on the table.
Victim’s Quick Reaction Leads to Arrest
Mary told police that the suspect immediately tried to unlock her phone using facial recognition. Alarmed, she shouted for help, drawing the attention of the spa’s security personnel. The staff quickly responded and called the police, who arrived promptly to arrest Su on the spot.
Investigation and Charges
The suspect was then taken to the Parañaque City Police Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) for further investigation. Authorities are preparing theft charges against him as sources said the evidence strongly supports the accusation.
