Civil Service Commission Awards Collective Negotiation Agreement to La Union
SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The Civil Service Commission-Regional Office 1 has officially granted the Certificate of Registration for the Collective Negotiation Agreement to the La Union Provincial Government Employees Organization. This significant event took place during the first Monday flag-raising ceremony on June 2 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds.
The Collective Negotiation Agreement, a critical document, safeguards the rights, benefits, and welfare of government employees. It also encourages a positive and cooperative workplace environment. With the CNA now in effect, more than 2,000 qualified employees of the Provincial Government of La Union can expect an annual CNA bonus rooted in clear legal support.
Key Officials Present the CNA Certification
The awarding ceremony was led by CSC-Regional Office 1 Assistant Regional Director Cornelia M. Rillera, CSC La Union Provincial Director Romulo V. Nabua, and CSC Human Resource Specialist Rainier G. Repollo. They handed over the certificate to Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David along with LUPGEO officials headed by President Jocelyn G. Mangibin.
Governor Ortega-David warmly described the CNA as her final gift to the employees of the Provincial Government of La Union before her term ends. “Before I leave, I want to make sure I leave something for our employees here in La Union – something that will secure the additional incentives that each one of you truly deserves at the end of every year,” she said.
Strengthening Employee Benefits Through the Collective Negotiation Agreement
The CNA represents a formal pact that promotes fairness and transparency in employee benefits. It ensures that government workers receive proper recognition and rewards for their dedication and service. By establishing this agreement, the local government fosters a harmonious workplace where employees feel valued and motivated.
This milestone highlights the commitment of local leaders to improve the working conditions of public servants. The CNA’s legal backing guarantees that bonuses and other incentives are awarded consistently and fairly, preventing future disputes or uncertainties.
The event reflected the collaborative efforts of the Civil Service Commission and provincial officials to uphold the rights of government employees. It marked a meaningful step toward enhancing employee welfare in La Union.
