Civil Service Commission Issues Career Service Examination Guidelines
MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released important guidelines for examinees preparing for the Career Service Examination Pen and Paper Test set on August 10. These measures aim to ensure a smooth and orderly exam process for all candidates.
Examinees can now check their designated testing centers through the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) available on the CSC website. This online feature helps candidates verify their testing locations ahead of time.
Arrival and Identification Rules
All examinees must arrive at their assigned test venues no later than 6:30 a.m., or as instructed by the local CSC Regional or Field Office. The exam gates will close strictly at 7:45 a.m., and latecomers will be denied entry. Furthermore, the CSC is enforcing a “No ID, No Exam” policy, requiring examinees to present a valid identification card, preferably the same ID used during their application.
Proper Attire and Prohibited Items
Regarding dress code, candidates are advised to wear appropriate clothing. Plain white shirts or tops are preferred. Individuals wearing sleeveless shirts, shorts, tokong pants, ripped jeans, or slippers will not be allowed inside the examination venue.
The CSC has also outlined items that examinees cannot bring into the test area. Calculators, including watch calculators, and any aids intended to assist in answering questions are prohibited. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and tablets must not be present at examinees’ seats during the exam.
Exam Conduct and Answer Sheet Instructions
Examinees must use only the examinee number assigned to them as indicated on the Examinee Attendance Sheet. This number is crucial for tracking test results. Candidates are reminded not to use any other examinee number.
In addition, test booklets must stay within the testing room and must not be taken outside. Scratch work should only be done in designated areas of the test booklet. Writing on answer sheets beyond authorized spaces, on clothing, body parts, or margins is strictly forbidden.
Only black ballpoint pens are allowed to fill out the answer sheets. The use of gel pens, fountain pens, sign pens, friction pens, or any other colors will result in disqualification.
Assistance for Examinees
Those unable to access their ONSA online are advised to contact the CSC Regional or Field Office directly for assistance. Local sources noted these guidelines are set to maintain order and fairness throughout the examination process.
