Investigation Launched After Concrete Debris Incident
The Quezon City Police District has formed a Special Investigation Team to probe an alarming incident where concrete debris fell from a condominium, critically injuring three minors. The accident happened along Tomas Morato Avenue last Tuesday, drawing immediate attention from local authorities.
Initially, police reported that two students were hurt. However, further assessments revealed that three minors sustained critical injuries due to the falling debris. This prompted swift action to determine the cause and hold responsible parties accountable.
Police and Condominium Management Cooperate
Officials reported that the QCPD’s Special Investigation Team is actively working to uncover the circumstances behind the dangerous event. “In response to the incident, QCPD has activated a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to determine the cause and identify the parties responsible,” police sources said on Friday.
Meanwhile, the management of Atherton Place Condominium has expressed full cooperation with the investigation. Community representatives noted their willingness to assist authorities in any way necessary to resolve the matter promptly.
Victims’ Status and Ongoing Medical Care
Among the three injured minors, one has already been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment. The other two remain confined and continue to receive medical care as they recover from their injuries, local health officials reported.

The Quezon City government has also stepped in to provide assistance to the victims’ families. Through its Social Services and Development Department, the local government is offering support to help ease the burden during this difficult time, community leaders noted.
