DOLE Supports Government Unified Green Lane System for Jobs
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has pledged strong support for the government unified green lane system. This new system aims to speed up the approval of strategic investments that will create more job opportunities for Filipinos.
Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma joined representatives from 38 national agencies on June 2 to sign a Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC). The agreement strengthens coordination between agencies under the Investments Facilitation Network (INFA-Net), enhancing the government unified green lane system.
Streamlining Permits to Boost Investments
Based on Executive Order No. 18, the circular focuses on cutting red tape by streamlining the issuance of permits and licenses for priority projects. This effort reduces delays and improves regulatory efficiency, encouraging more investments.
Member agencies must set up dedicated green lanes to fast-track processing applications. Meanwhile, the Board of Investments’ One-Stop Action Center for Strategic Investments (OSAC-SI) acts as the main coordinating hub to ensure smooth operations.
Advancing Economic Goals Through Faster Investment
This initiative aligns with the Marcos administration’s 8-point socioeconomic agenda and the Ease of Doing Business law, both designed to enhance public service and increase investor confidence.
To guarantee uniform implementation, the circular also mandates performance monitoring, digital integration, and capacity-building programs for the participating agencies.
DOLE’s Commitment to Quality Employment
DOLE OIC-Assistant Secretary Patrick P. Patriwirawan Jr. also took part in the ceremonial signing. He emphasized the department’s dedication to upholding labor standards and backing investments that generate quality jobs for Filipinos.
