Weather Updates and Precautions
Local weather agencies have reported that one of two low-pressure areas (LPAs) over the Philippine Area of Responsibility could intensify into a tropical depression by Wednesday, July 23. The southwest monsoon, along with the trough of the other LPA, continues to bring significant rainfall over various parts of the country.
Authorities urge the public to stay vigilant and utilize the free transportation options provided. The DOTr, PCG, and PPA have already deployed vehicles since Monday to help alleviate the commuting challenges caused by the habagat rains.
