Driver Lost Control Hits Vehicles and Buildings in Cavite
Several people sustained injuries in Noveleta, Cavite, when a driver lost control of her car, striking multiple vehicles, crashing into a house, and finally plowing into a barangay multi-purpose hall. This chaotic incident unfolded on a busy national highway in Barangay San Rafael 3.
Early morning CCTV footage captured the car halting abruptly in the middle of traffic. A concerned passerby approached the vehicle to check on the driver. Unexpectedly, the car suddenly accelerated, bumping a van nearby. The driver then reversed, crashing into a house before speeding forward again, smashing into the barangay multi-purpose hall and colliding with another car and two motorcycles.
Immediate Response and Injuries
After the series of collisions, the driver managed to steer the car back to the street, where barangay officials quickly intervened to stop her. While they were speaking with the driver, she suddenly fainted, prompting officials to rush her to the hospital for treatment.
Several victims involved in the accident were also taken to the hospital to receive medical care. One victim’s niece shared the severity of the injuries, stating, “Sa ngayon nasa ospital po [ang relative ko], nagpapagaling… Kasi po, doon sa aksidente, nagtamo siya ng fracture sa kaniyang hita. Nadurog ang buto niya doon. Kakailanganin pong lagyan ng bakal at sementuhan. Sa ngayon, matibay at buo ang desisyon po namin na magsampa ng kaukulang kaso.”
The relative suffered a fractured thigh with shattered bones that require surgical insertion of metal and cementing. The family has firmly decided to file the necessary legal charges following the incident.
