High-Value Individuals Caught in Drug Buy-Bust Operation
Authorities successfully arrested two men in a drug buy-bust operation that uncovered P3.4 million worth of shabu in Rodriguez, Rizal on the night of June 6. The operation focused on exposing illegal transactions between high-value individuals and buyers.
The Rizal Police Provincial Office identified the high-value individuals as “Jojie,” 30, and “Chacha,” 29, both tagged as drug pushers. The buyers, “JP,” 39, and “Dondon,” 36, were arrested after being caught purchasing drugs. Local authorities confirmed that the operation was conducted by the Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station in Barangay Geronimo.
Seized Items and Arrest Details
During the operation, police confiscated five tied sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 500 grams, cash amounting to P3,000, a sling bag, and a digital weighing scale. These items were found in possession of the suspects at the time of arrest.
Both the buyers and the high-value individuals are currently detained at the Rodriguez Custodial Facility. They will face charges under Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities expressed their commitment to continue targeting illegal drug activities in the area. Local leaders noted the importance of such operations in curbing the drug menace and protecting communities.
