Arrival of Election Returns from Cebu and Visayas
Election returns from Cebu and other areas in the Visayas are expected to arrive within the day, officials confirmed. They reported that while most returns currently arriving are from the National Capital Region and Luzon, Cebu’s election returns have been in transit since the previous day.
“May mga on the way here. Mostly, right now, is from NCR [and] Luzon. In Cebu, they have been in transit since yesterday, so we’re expecting Cebu to arrive today and some parts of the Visayas,” said a spokesperson for the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting.
Current Status of Election Returns Nationwide
As of now, the council has received 11,860 election returns, which represent 12.71% of the total election returns across the country. This figure reflects the ongoing efforts to gather and process votes as fast as possible.
Additional Votes Successfully Transmitted
Besides Cebu and the Visayas, transmitted votes have also been recorded from several other locations, including Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Cotabato, Eastern Samar, Davao de Oro, and Quezon. These transmissions took place on Tuesday evening, further adding to the growing pool of election data.
