Election Returns From Luzon and Visayas Arriving Tonight
The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting announced that election returns from Luzon and Visayas are expected to be delivered this evening. This update comes as the church-based watchdog continues to gather and verify election data.
So far, the council has received about 2,300 printed election returns from the National Capital Region. These returns come from key areas such as Quezon City, Makati, Manila, Pasay, and Mandaluyong.
Processing Election Returns From Luzon and Visayas
According to the spokesperson, the council is actively processing election returns from Manila and Pasay to ensure timely and accurate reporting. The team is using election returns with QR codes to cross-check the transmitted data against the printed results from the voting machines.
Delay in Arrival From Mindanao
Meanwhile, election returns from Mindanao are expected to take an additional two days to arrive. The delay has been attributed to heavy rains affecting delivery schedules. “Nadelay because of the rain (the delivery was delayed because of the rain). Hopefully, there are some that will be coming in tomorrow,” the spokesperson explained.
Despite these setbacks, the council has successfully obtained nearly 98% of election returns directly from the Commission on Elections, reflecting a high level of data collection and verification.
