Eleksyon 2025: Garcia Votes Early in Indang, Cavite
INDANG, Cavite – Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairperson George Erwin Garcia cast his vote early Monday morning for Eleksyon 2025. He arrived at the Banaba Cerca Integrated School around 7:30 a.m. to vote at one of the polling precincts.
After voting, Garcia proudly showed his finger marked with indelible ink, a sign that he already fulfilled his duty as a voter. He shared that he was able to finish voting quickly because he brought his voter’s information sheet (VIS) with him.
“Ako po nakaboto nang mabilis kanina sapagkat dala ko ang aking voter’s information sheet. Ibig sabihin, ginamit kong paraan para makopya ang aking mga nilagay na boto sa VIS,” he said.
This means he used his VIS to copy his chosen candidates and options on the ballot, speeding up the process significantly.
Voting Hours and Accessibility
On election day, early voting started as early as 5 a.m. and lasted until 7 p.m. for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women. Meanwhile, regular voting hours ran from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for all other voters. These measures aim to ensure a smooth and accessible voting experience for everyone.
With the Eleksyon 2025 underway, many voters like Garcia are taking advantage of tools like the voter’s information sheet to make the process faster and more efficient. This shows how preparation can help voters exercise their rights with ease.
