Tragic Family Highway Mishap Shakes Sarangani
KORONADAL CITY – A heartbreaking highway mishap claimed the lives of a family of three in Malungon, Sarangani, early Wednesday morning. The family of three were pinned to death after a collision on the national highway in Barangay Talus at around 5 a.m., local leaders noted.

The crash involved a Mitsubishi Mirage and a prime mover trailer truck. Sources said the driver of the car, Abdulmajid Sarapudin, 35, a security guard, lost control when the front wheel slipped off the road due to a crack between the concrete and asphalt. This caused the vehicle to collide head-on with the oncoming truck.
Sarapudin, his wife Ivy Lou, 33, and their three-year-old daughter—all residents of Barangay Labangal, General Santos City—tragically died on the spot. The truck driver voluntarily surrendered to authorities following the incident.
