Local reports indicate that 22-year-old Zaldy Borja and his 24-year-old brother Armando were working in their cornfield when a thunderstorm suddenly approached around 3:30 p.m. As the storm intensified, they decided to head home for safety.

While walking back, Zaldy led the way ahead of Armando. Suddenly, both were struck by lightning. The force of the strike caused them to collapse immediately.
