Fatal Stabbing Incident in Barangay San Cristobal

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna – A tragic stabbing incident occurred in Barangay San Cristobal on Saturday, May 24, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old farmer. According to sources familiar with the matter, the victim, identified as Ruel Angelica, was heading home when a neighbor named Jeffrey suddenly confronted and stabbed him.

Eyewitnesses described the suspect as wearing black pants, a black T-shirt, and a black and red cap. After the attack, Jeffrey fled the scene. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Authorities have launched a manhunt and are continuing their investigation into the incident.

Unexplained Death Found Under Bridge in Lobo, Batangas

In a separate case, a 35-year-old man was discovered dead beneath a bridge in Sitio Piit, Barangay Calo, Lobo, Batangas, on the same day. Police identified the victim as Alvin Gupo. Reports indicate that Gupo was last seen resting on a concrete barrier beside the bridge on Friday. His body was found the following morning at around 9:30 a.m.

Local investigators are still probing the circumstances surrounding Gupo’s death to determine the cause.

Drowning Incidents Claim Two Lives in Batangas

Meanwhile, two drowning incidents occurred in Batangas on Saturday, claiming the lives of a tricycle driver and a laborer. The victims were identified as 67-year-old Guillermo, a tricycle driver, and 28-year-old Kim Carlo, a construction worker.

Guillermo was reportedly swimming during a drinking session with friends at a beach resort in San Juan when he went missing. He was later found floating near the shore and was immediately taken to a local hospital, where he was declared dead.

At the same time, Kim Carlo swam in a deep part of the sea in Calatagan but was found unconscious shortly afterward. His co-workers rushed him to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

These recent events have raised concerns among community leaders and local residents. Authorities continue to investigate all three cases thoroughly. The fatal stabbing and drowning incidents serve as a stark reminder of the urgent need for enhanced community safety measures and awareness.
