Father and Uncles Arrested in Caloocan Child Abuse Case
A young girl bravely revealed to her mother that she had been sexually abused by her father and uncles in Caloocan City. Authorities confirmed that the father was included in the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s most wanted list.
The Northern Police District-Special Operations Unit (NPD-SOU) led the investigation and arrest. Lt. Col. Alain Licdan, the NPD-SOU chief, shared that the father was apprehended in Barangay 178 after several months of surveillance. This arrest followed a disturbing discovery at the child’s school, where teachers caught her involved in inappropriate sexual conduct with another student.
Child’s Disclosure Leads to Arrest
After the school informed the mother, the girl finally opened up about the abuse. Police investigators learned that the abuse happened during visits to her grandmother’s house in Caloocan.
The first incident occurred when the girl’s aunt, who was caring for her, went to the market, leaving the child alone with her father and uncles. Arrest and Charges Filed Against Suspect
With help from an informant, authorities tracked the father, who had been hiding in Manila. He frequently changed jobs to avoid capture and only visited his mother’s home in Caloocan about once a month. Despite the evidence, the suspect denied all accusations.
He now faces serious charges, including rape, acts of lasciviousness, and sexual abuse. Police have withheld his name to protect the child’s privacy and ongoing investigations. Local leaders and law enforcement continue to work closely to ensure justice and the girl’s safety.
