Final Batch of Transmitted Votes Received
The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has announced the receipt of the final batch of transmitted votes for the 2025 midterm elections. This important update confirms that the majority of election data has now been collected and is ready for processing.
PPCRV executive director Jude Liao shared that the church-based watchdog obtained the transmitted votes at approximately 2:41 p.m. He added, “Our volunteers will now be signing off, and we thank our partners.”
Closing Procedures and Vote Transmission Halt
As the final batch of transmitted votes arrives, the data center is set to begin closing procedures. However, groups with transparency servers will no longer receive further transmissions, signaling the official shutdown of vote collection activities. Liao explained, “DC3 (Data Center 3) will still have closing procedures, but the groups with transparency servers will not receive transmissions anymore. Hence, we are shutting down.”
Coverage and Expected Returns
At this stage, PPCRV has acquired 99.12% of all transmitted votes and collected 18,996 election returns, which account for 20.26% of the nationwide election returns. The organization is still expecting additional election returns from the Visayas region, particularly from Cebu and Iloilo.
With the final batch of transmitted votes now in hand, the focus shifts to ensuring transparency and accuracy in the election results. This milestone marks a significant step in the vote-counting process and reflects the efforts of many volunteers and partners who contributed to this phase.
