Fire Hits Residential Area in Muntinlupa City
A fire that erupted shortly after midnight on May 25 severely impacted a residential zone in Muntinlupa City. The blaze began around 12:34 a.m. in Purok 3 Guapeza Compound, Barangay Cupang, affecting dozens of families and causing significant property damage.
Local reports indicate that firefighters responded quickly, raising the first alarm at 12:40 a.m. and escalating to a second alarm at 12:51 a.m. Thanks to their swift action, the fire was contained by 12:55 a.m. and fully extinguished by 1:34 a.m.

The fire affected 26 families, totaling 111 individuals, according to community leaders familiar with the situation. Nineteen structures were damaged in the incident, leaving many residents displaced.
Among those injured was a 27-year-old man who suffered second-degree burns on various parts of his body, including his back, arms, feet, head, and neck. Emergency responders promptly provided medical attention.
Government Response and Relief Efforts
City officials, including the mayor, vice mayor, and barangay captain, visited the affected area to assess the damage firsthand. The local government prioritized immediate relief by distributing emergency kits and financial aid to help families recover.
