Fire Hits Residential Area in Tondo Early Tuesday
A fire hit a residential area in Tondo, Manila, early Tuesday morning, sources said. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) quickly responded to the emergency, dispatching 13 personnel and one ambulance to the scene.
The blaze started at 3:54 a.m. in the Victor Lopez Compound, located at the corner of Capulong Street, Barangay 93, Tondo. Firefighters escalated their response rapidly, as the fire alarm levels increased within minutes.
Rapid Escalation and Control of Fire
The fire reached the first alarm just one minute after it started, at 3:55 a.m. It then escalated to the second alarm by 4:03 a.m. and the third alarm at 4:12 a.m. Thanks to the swift action of the fire crews, the blaze was declared under control by 5:35 a.m.
While the fire is now contained, local authorities have yet to provide information on the damage caused. Residents and nearby communities remain alert as investigations continue.
