Weather Updates: Typhoon and Tropical Depression Watch

Weather authorities continue to monitor Typhoon Isang (international name: Kajiki), which remains outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). As of early Sunday morning, it was located approximately 970 kilometers west of Northern Luzon, moving westward at 10 kilometers per hour with sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching 160 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area within the PAR, located 405 kilometers east of Hinatuan in Surigao del Sur, shows a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours. Residents and local officials are urged to stay alert and prepare accordingly.

Community members noted that despite the flooding, traffic remains manageable, and authorities continue to monitor affected areas closely.
