Recent online scams raise concern
Just last month, Kathleen, sister of a well-known actress, vented her frustration after being scammed by an online seller. She lost almost P2,000 when her food order was never delivered. “For a sausage, it’s not cheap. Paid 1,900+ for it. They are great with their modus,” she said.
Despite the loss, Kathleen shared her personal way of coping: “Solution on my part, I prayed for the scammer. I hope the money fed you and your family. I also prayed that you try to find a dignified job because all the money you guys scammed it from are all hard earned money.”
