Authorities reported that a cement mixer truck was traveling toward Digos City when it encountered a rough patch of road at Sitio Balagunon. The vehicle suddenly tilted heavily to its left side, causing it to overturn.
Police sources explained that as the truck rolled over, it struck three minors walking on the opposite side of the road. The victims were identified as Jun, Ren, and Ronie, ages 9, 10, and 12, respectively, all residents of Managa village.
Victims and Emergency Response
The driver, known only as Ron, 39, from Hagonoy town, and his passenger, Lino, 45, of Davao City, were also involved. Emergency responders rushed all five individuals to hospitals in Bansalan and Digos City.
Tragically, all except Lino were declared dead on arrival. Lino later cooperated with investigators, providing details about the circumstances leading to the accident, officials reported.
