Important Reminders for Jackpot Winners
The PCSO reminded all jackpot winners that under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20 percent tax will be automatically deducted from their prize money. Winners must also claim their prizes within one year from the draw date; otherwise, the unclaimed prize will be forfeited and redirected to the PCSO Charity Fund.
To protect their winnings, players are advised to write their names and signatures on the back of their tickets. It is essential to keep the ticket in good condition, avoiding wrinkles, folds, or tears. Preserving the barcode is also crucial because the lotto terminal verifies the ticket by scanning it.
