Heavy Rains Expected Until Thursday Across Luzon
Heavy rains are expected until Thursday, affecting several parts of Luzon, including Pampanga, Bataan, and Zambales. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued an orange rainfall warning for these provinces on Tuesday afternoon, forecasting 15 to 30 millimeters of rainfall within the next three hours. Local leaders noted that flooding remains a serious threat under this warning level.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and six other Luzon provinces are under a yellow rainfall warning. These areas can expect between 7.5 and 15 millimeters of rain within three hours, with flooding possible in low-lying and flood-prone locations. The provinces under this yellow warning include Tarlac, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Laguna.

Current Weather Conditions and Monitoring Low-Pressure Areas
Pagasa also reported that Nueva Ecija and Quezon are currently experiencing light to moderate rain, with occasional heavy showers. This weather condition may continue for up to three hours. Authorities are closely monitoring three low-pressure areas—two inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) and one outside.
One of the low-pressure areas within PAR has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, according to the weather bureau. Residents are advised to stay alert and follow updates to prepare for possible weather disturbances.
