ROXAS, Isabela — Due to heavy rains brought by a low-pressure area and the southwest monsoon, local leaders announced class suspensions in Isabela towns on Thursday, Aug. 7. Both public and private schools from kindergarten to high school halted classes to prioritize student safety amid the flooding risks.

Authorities also reported that the Ibulo Bridge in Baggao was submerged. To prevent accidents, village watchmen were assigned to stop anyone from crossing the dangerous flooded bridge.
