Taguig Police Nab High Value Drug Personality
Authorities successfully arrested a newly identified high value drug personality during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on May 23. The operation, conducted by the Taguig Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit, took place in Barangay Santa Ana at around 11:55 p.m.
The suspect, known by the alias Catherine and aged 30, is a resident of Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig. She was apprehended for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Seized Illegal Substances and Evidence
During the arrest, police confiscated 67.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (locally called shabu) with an estimated street value of ₱456,280. Additionally, they seized 25 grams of suspected kush, valued at ₱37,500. The total estimated worth of the seized illegal drugs reached ₱493,780.
Besides the drugs, the police also recovered a marked ₱500 bill used as buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, and a motorcycle linked to the suspect.
