Hope Restoring Trust in Filipino Voters Renewed by Gen Z

Hope Restoring Trust in Filipino Voters: A Fresh Outlook from the Youth

Renowned actor John Arcilla expressed heartfelt praise and gratitude towards young voters, particularly those from Generation Z, for their active participation in the recent May 12 elections. He emphasized that the candidates chosen by these voters were those free from corruption, which sparked renewed confidence in the Filipino electorate.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Arcilla described this development as “hope-restoring,” highlighting how it rekindles trust in the Filipino people’s ability to make wise choices. “Congratulations GenZs at sa mga Kabataang Botante! Nakakasaya ng gising, NAKAKABUHAY ng TIWALA muli sa Pilipino. Nakakatanggal Trauma. Hindi man 100% A win is a WIN,” he shared.

Encouraging More Vigilant Voting in Future Elections

The veteran actor’s optimism grew as he noted the successful election of candidates like Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan to the Senate. However, he did not stop there; he urged voters to intensify their efforts in researching and selecting honest officials in upcoming elections. This call to action aims to increase the number of upright leaders and reduce corruption in government.

He acknowledged that while a complete transformation might not be immediate, positive change is underway. “Hindi tayo makakakita ng SUPER SIGNIFICANT na pagbabago PERO SIGURADONG MERON! And it is a GOOD START, kasi magiging ‘ON THEIR TOES’ na ang iba. Kahit makalahati pa natin ang MATINO, magulo pa din ‘yan,” Arcilla explained via Instagram.

He also encouraged voters to aim for an even higher standard next time: “Galingan pa natin next time at gawing 100% na MATINO ang TRACK RECORD, HINDI CORRUPT at HINDI MIYEMBRO ng DYNASTY.”

Gratitude for Voters and a Call for Continued Progress

To conclude his message, Arcilla thanked all voters regardless of election outcomes. He celebrated their participation and urged everyone to keep striving for better choices in the future. “Siyempre MASIGABONG PALAKPAKAN pa din sa ating LAHAT! YES!!! Galingan pa natin lalo! MABUHAY!!!”

His dedication to hopeful change sprouted from observing the election day scene, including the sight of broken chairs in a public school converted into a polling precinct, emphasizing the challenges yet to overcome.
