Arrests and Drug-Free Barangays Mark Progress
Alongside the seizures, authorities arrested 153,206 individuals on drug-related charges, with 9,689 identified as high-value targets. This enforcement effort has led to 29,471 barangays now declared drug-free as of June 30, 2025.
Moreover, the agency dismantled 1,488 drug dens and five clandestine drug laboratories during the three-year span, demonstrating a significant disruption of the drug supply network.

In a forum held in San Juan City, PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez announced plans to destroy 2.5 tons of illegal drugs in a scheduled activity in the second week of August. This move underscores the ongoing commitment to combat the drug menace.
