MANILA, Philippines — Actor and singer Iñigo Pascual addressed long-standing rumors about his past relationship with Maris Racal during his guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday.
The topic came up when Boy Abunda, the show’s host, recalled a previous interview he did with the two stars when they were younger. Still curious, Abunda asked Pascual directly if Maris was ever his girlfriend.
At first, Iñigo was hesitant to answer, saying it would be better if Maris were the one to speak on the matter. But eventually, he offered clarification.
“There was an understanding between me and Maris back then,” Iñigo shared. “It didn’t have a label, but it was something between the two of us.”
When asked about their current status, Iñigo assured they remain on good terms.
“We’re really okay, and that’s what matters to me,” he said.
Now in his mid-20s, Iñigo also revealed he is currently single and not actively seeking a relationship.
“No one owns my heart right now—except my parents and grandfather,” he said, adding that he might be going through a “quarter-life crisis” earlier than expected.
Iñigo is set to appear in the Joel Lamangan-directed film “Fatherland”, alongside Allen Dizon, Richard Yap, Kazel Kinouchi, and others. The movie explores themes of identity and nationhood through a young man’s search for his father.
