Iñigo Pascual Says It’s an Honor to Be Compared to His Father Piolo

MANILA, Philippines — Actor Iñigo Pascual opened up about being constantly compared to his father, Piolo Pascual, during an episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” aired Wednesday.

Rather than seeing the comparisons as a burden, Iñigo said it is a privilege and source of pride to be associated with his father, who is one of the country’s most iconic actors.

“Para sa ’kin, hindi siya obstacle, hindi siya problema… It’s an honor to be compared to my dad,” he said.

Iñigo acknowledged that his father has greatly influenced his journey and admitted that he doesn’t mind living in his father’s shadow.

“My Dad Looks Like My Older Brother”

Iñigo added that he often brags about his father to friends, joking about Piolo’s youthful looks.

“He looks like my older brother,” Iñigo quipped. “That’s more of a bragging right for me.”

He also humbly admitted that Piolo is more handsome, and he doesn’t see himself competing with his father’s success or image.

Upcoming Film: ‘Fatherland’

Iñigo is currently part of the upcoming Joel Lamangan-directed film “Fatherland,” where he stars alongside Allen Dizon, Richard Yap, and Kazel Kinouci.

The film adds to his growing body of work, as Iñigo continues to carve his own path in the entertainment industry while honoring the legacy of his father.
