Leyte Rep. Commits to eGovPH Super App Funding
MANILA, Philippines — Reelected Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez has promised to back congressional initiatives ensuring funding for the newly launched eGovPH Super App and its Serbisyo Hub. Romualdez emphasized the importance of supporting the eGovPH Serbisyo Hub, which opened recently at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center in San Juan City.
The eGovPH Serbisyo Hub serves as a physical extension of the eGovPH ecosystem, designed to help Filipinos who prefer in-person transactions while still enjoying the benefits of streamlined, technology-driven services. “This is how we bring our government closer to the people—not with long lines, hours of waiting, and red tape, but with real solutions that they see, feel, and benefit from,” Romualdez stated.
One-Stop Shop for Government Services
Romualdez described the hub as a “one-stop shop” offering access to various government agencies, where Filipinos can seek medical and financial assistance, free legal advice, job opportunities, and apply for permits, clearances, and legal documents.
He added, “The Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub is a major breakthrough in delivering fast, dignified, and accessible government services to millions of Filipinos. As legislators, it is our duty to see to it that such innovations are adequately funded so that these are capable of providing reliable, consistent service.” Local leaders noted the strong commitment to ensure the hub’s sustainability and efficiency through proper funding.
President Marcos’ Assurance
At the launch event, President Marcos assured the public of a service free from corruption, fixers, and long queues. The president’s promise accompanied the inauguration of both the eGovPH application and the physical Serbisyo Hub, highlighting the government’s resolve to improve service delivery for all Filipinos.
